Ini Ememobong Foundation Donates Bio-Hazard Suits to Nigerian Medical Association
As part of its continuous efforts to offer strategic assistance to involved stakeholders groups and organisations in the fight the Corona Virus Pandemic, the Ini Ememobong Foundation has donated bio-hazard suits to the Nigerian Medical Association, Akwa Ibom State.
The donation which was handed over to the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Akwa Ibom State, Dr Nsikak Nyoyoko is coming on the heels of series of sentization visits and donation of hand sanitizers by the Foundation.
Handing over the items to the Nigerian Medical Association Akwa Ibom Branch, Chairman of Ini Ememobong Foundation and Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong said the donation of the Bio-Hazard suits was the foundation’s way of providing support to organisations at the forefront of the fight against the dreaded Corona Pandemic.
“At the Ini Ememobong Foundation we believe that the fight against this Pandemic should not be dumped on the table of government alone. That is why we are not resting on our oars in offering any kind of support or assistance within our abilities to different segment of our population and stakeholder groups. We believe that in this fight, every effort and second counts” Ini Ememobong said.
Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Akwa Ibom State Dr. Nsikak Nyoyoko thanked the Ini Ememobong Foundation for the donation which he said was a timely and thoughtful one. Dr Nyoyoko said the biohazard suits will be transported to the Infectious Disease Hospital IDH, to help shore up the State’s preparedness to fight the Pandemic should a case be recorded. The Ini Ememobong Foundation had earlier donated rice to media practitioners in order to help cushion the effect of the impending lock down.
